Do you hunger to hear what
the Spirit says in the text of scripture? Do you believe
that Jesus call us to lives of responsible freedom? Do
you delight in discovering the surprising truths about
God found in the Bible? Can you appreciate laughter and
a dry wit? Maybe we can grow in knowing God and
belonging to Christ together!
Clackamas Bible Church has been our home since 1995. God
has filled this congregation with gracious and caring
people.
Learned teachers at Western Seminary, where I joyfully
studied, actually granted me a couple of degrees.
Distinguished schools like Western, Multnomah, Calvin,
and Cornerstone have permitted me to teach a course
now and then on topics like prayer, spiritual growth,
history and theology.
I wanted to be a chemist, but God cut me out of the
flock and made me a shepherd. He keeps an eye on me. My
Lord also gave me Becky as my loving wife in 1981, and
we have two grown up daughters, Rachel and Martha.
We live in a place that got renamed Happy Valley, so
how cool is that? Our poodle, Phoebe, gets mentioned in
way too many sermons. Becky works in a large hospital,
transcribing pathology reports. She likes to study the
Bible and keep up to speed on what thoughtful Christian
believers around the world have to say.
Otherwise we live a pretty ordinary life, mowing the
lawn and stuff. Now and then I go skiing on Mt. Hood or
play nine holes at one of the cheaper local golf
courses. I also
get to read way too much.
My heavenly Father loves me. And he cares for you too!
